The sun really does shine in Sydney!

Yesterday was the first sunny day with no rain in Sydney! We had a busy day starting off with a tour of the Sydney Cricket Grounds. It was cool to see the history of the grounds and the original part stadium. They even use the original changing rooms which is what we call locker rooms. Ron, our tour guide, told us that it takes 12 years to become a member just to the Cricket Grounds. It costs $2000 dollars plus two current members must know you and 12 years to be able to get a membership. Then it is about $700 a year to keep the membership. That's like trying to get Packers season tickets! My favorite part of the day was being able to see the North Sydney Bears Rugby League play. Before the game, we were able to sit in and watch their pregame strapping or taping as ATs usually call it. It was interesting to see that they do not use white tape. Instead they use leukotape and stretch sticky tape. The Bears physiotherapist is a business partner with Jenny McConnell. After the players came through, he showed us again how to do McConnell taping along with fat pad. I was able to try it out on Lisa with his assistance. I am excited to try it out on my athletes back home. We stayed at the game until halftime. It was an adventure trying to get back on the right trains and buses to make it to our hostel. Once we got back, a couple of us quickly got ready and headed to the Sydney Opera House. It was so amazing to be there especially once Vivid started going on. We had a very short time to explore before we had to catch our ferry to Darling Harbour for our dinner cruise. The dinner cruise was a fun time with everyone. It had delicious food and all you can eat! It was a good way to end a good day!

Cheers!
